Georgia’s Peterborough Half Marathon

Georgia Calver will be taking part in the Peterborough Great Eastern Half Marathon Run, raising both funds for The Trust and awareness of nut allergies.
Georgia’s sister lives with a severe nut allergy so she is passionate about increasing understanding and spreading the word of how seriously allergies have to be taken.

Paddy’s ‘One Last Time’

On Sunday 21st October this year, Paddy Richardson will be taking part ‘One last Time’ in a Banger race, at the Arena Essex Raceway, in Purfleet Essex, in the PRI Legends Meeting for the Ronnie Martin Memorial Trophy. He will be raising funds for both The Amy May Trust and The Meningitis Foundation.
He tells us “I do not consider myself as a “Legend”, I prefer to say “Veteran”, but I was lucky enough to race during the 80’s and 90’s, with some real Legends of Ovals, and have so many fond memories of this time”

Nash’s London Marathon

Peter’s London Marathon

Peter Basham’s daughter Sarah-Jane lives with a serious nut allergy, so he understands only too well the difficulties faced on a daily basis.

Lukes’s Nuclear Race

Luke Ely has known Amy since childhood.
He is taking on his second Nuclear Race in her name, the race requires hardcore training, taking on 100 tough obstacles requiring both physical and mental endurance. Go Luke – we are proud of you.
Bryony’s Half Marathon

Lindsey’s Half Marathon

Lindsey Bowers is an ex-colleague of Amy’s and a permanent friend.
Lindsey and Amy worked together on ITV’s This Morning programme, sharing much laughter and closeness amidst the pressure and commitment of the daily aired programme.
On May 19th, Lindsey runs the Hackney half marathon in the name of her friend. Good luck Lindsey – Amy is lucky to have you in her life!
Gregor’s Half Marathon
The Half Dram – Dundee Half Marathon
Sunday 7th July at 9:30am.
Gregor Tweed is sixteen years old and lives with severe allergy to tree and ground nuts.
About to enter his sixth year, Gregor is part of a well travelled family and understands the extreme difficulties that can arise when in contact with people who are not aware of the severity of allergies.

Laura’s Ironman 70.3

Laura Fernandez Alonso will be undertaking the enormous challenge of the Ironman 70.3 event in Vichy, next summer. This event will see her swim 1.2 miles, cycle 56 miles and then finish with a 13.1 mile run. So impressive!

This feat of endurance consists of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a 26.2-mile run, which has to be completed without a break within a 16 hour timespan.

Lindsey and Marks’ Wedding

On August 8, 2020, Amy’s friends Lindsey and Mark will be getting married at Sutton Hall in Essex.
Amy knew both through her years at ITV and spent many happy days working alongside Lindsey as a digital producer on shows like This Morning and Good Morning Britain – there were also many happy prosecco-fuelled nights, too!
The pair look forward to having Amy as a guest at their big day and in lieu of a wedding list, invite friends and family to make a donation to the Amy May Trust. Any amount, no matter how small, will be enormously appreciated as it will go towards the vital therapies Amy still so desperately needs. Thank you.

The Moonlight Colourthon is a walking half marathon set against the backdrop of Southend by night. Walkers leave Chalkwell Park at 6pm and walk the 13+ mile course taking in the sights of the Westcliff clifftops, Southend pier and the seafront, Leigh fishing sheds and back to the finish line in Chalkwell Park

Mount Snowden Climb for Amy and The Stroke Association

A family team are taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Snowden on May 6th to raise funds equally for The Amy May Trust along with The Stroke Association.
Both of these great causes are very dear to the hearts of Vicki, Debbie, Lorraine, Lynsey and Keith, as one of their own family member has a nut allergy, and Mum / Aunt suffered a serious stroke. As they train and take on this arduous challenge they will have their own loved Auntie May and our Amy May close in mind.

Celebrating a milestone birthday soon, Lyn Hopkins has chosen to mark the occasion by doing something very special, a challenge which many of us would find ambitious at any age.
Lyn is the mother of Amy’s physiotherapist Nigel Kimpton, and will be swimming a length of the pool for every candle on her birthday cake! Amazing.
