Klagenfurt, Austria 2020
Date: 5th July 2020
My name is Laura Fernandez and I found out about Amy’s condition via my partner Will Reidy who came across her story online and was truly devastated by it (he has donated multiple times over the course of the last few years). I have myself lost a close friend a few years ago (age 25) of an unfair stroke and have been fundraising on his name since. Every year, I set myself a new sports challenge in order to raise money for a cause close to my heart or one that I believe can make a difference.
I read about Amy’s story and I found it tragic but most importantly incredibly inspiring, especially after seeing all the progress she has made since 2014. I am truly impressed by all the work that The Trust carries out to raise awareness around this issue, the strength and unconditional love. I am honoured to help them raise money and will put all my dedication and strength into the next months of training.
On behalf of the Amy May Trust I would be immensely grateful if you could support me in giving Amy a better future, and supporting the work that The Trust do in raising awareness of nut allergies by sponsoring me.
Thank you so much – Laura.
